All the points that you have mentioned here are really vital ones. But the basic thing is to have more and more estimates from different companies to compare for getting the best out of all.

Also it is a good idea to consider an hourly rate for a move. Inventory pricing can be very deceptive, in that some moving companies underbid the job and then upsell it as the move progresses and you add items to the job. Movers doing the job are movers and not sales people.
