When you receive binding or non-binding estimates by email or over the telephone you must check them very carefully. They can be very tricky. Let’s say that you called 2 moving companies or got 2 moving quotes from moving companies website for moving 2 bedroom apartment from Los Angeles California to New York New York. The first moving company gave you an estimate for move weight of 3000 pounds and the price per pound is $0.60 total estimate is $1800 . The second moving company told you that the move weight is about 2700 pounds and they have a minimum of $1000 for the first 1500 pound and each additional pound is $0.57 per pound total estimate is $1684 . Which moving estimate will you choose?
